When people ask how myself and hubby survived our first year of marriage, I often feel bad about the response I give, because I feel like it’s not what they want to hear! Leading up to marriage many couples are warned about the challenges the first year may bring, and told to be patient with one another as they learn to navigate this new journey. Well, that wasn’t the case for us. View Post
Last month one of the worst things that has happened to me in my seven years of blogging finally did. I was setting up and getting ready to record a video, when my camera and tripod came crashing to the ground right before my eyes. The moment was surreal, I could have sworn it happened in slo mo because it felt like the most dramatic scene in the movie of my life, as I leapt to try to catch them but failed miserably! View Post
I don’t know about you, but any blog post that starts off with a delicious photo of food, is one that I’m more than happy to read! The photo above features my favourite British dish, some good old Fish ’n’ Chips, which I had the pleasure of consuming a few weeks back, whilst on my second walking food tour with Eating London Tours. It dawned on me a few weeks back that I’ve been in the blogging game for over seven years!
When I look back at my early blog posts from my loveyourtresses days, I semi cringe at how poorly written they were! Those days I had no clue, I was proud of my posts and loved blogging so much, that nothing could deter me from it. Of course in hindsight those so-called ‘poorly written’ posts, were what helped me to build a platform in the first place, and what I have to thank today for the progress I’ve made over the years.
If there was one thing I wish I had access to in my early days of blogging, it would be a resource that would guide me on how to create the best content possible. Back then I knew nothing about SEO, rarely linked to relevant blog posts, and was clueless about so many other amazing blogger tips and tricks.
Whilst I’ve still got a way to go with my blogging skills, I can definitely say I’ve come a long way, and one resource in particular has helped me. View Post
Two weeks ago I posted the photo you can see above on Instagram. I had my older sister around and we spent the afternoon together, cooking, laughing and being silly as usual! We were both craving a little something sweet, so decided to whip up a bowl of Puff Puff. I shared the process on Instagram, and let’s just say the love was real! So many of you asked for my recipe, and I promised you exactly that!
Puff Puff is very easy to make, and is the ultimate definition of delicious! Definitely a winner if you’re hosting guests, but beware this stuff is addictive, and should be consumed with caution!
Here is exactly how I make it…
