No doubt one of the most difficult things I’ve had to share during my blogging journey, but it had to be done.
I recently experienced my first major setback since starting my healthy hair journey seven years ago. I promised myself that once I had figured out what had caused me to lose handfuls of hair during wash day, I would share a video on my channel to help those who may be going through something similar.
Below are three videos sharing… View Post
In my last post, I gave you the scoop on one of my most effective time management tools. I was pleasantly surprised by how many people downloaded the free template, and think it’s fair to say that time management is something many of us are struggling with!
Today I want to take things a step further, and share on four additional tools and techniques, that have helped me to master my time, and boss up on my productivity game.
Let’s get straight to it.
By now I’m sure you know how important goal setting is to me. At the end of every year I take time out to write my goals, and most important of all, I create a practical action plan that will help me to achieve them.
Goal – Get Prince2 Certification
Action plan – Save £500 in January + February, and then enroll on 5 day Prince2 course in March
Whilst setting my goals and having an action plan definitely has its benefits, I often find that these tasks alone are not enough when it comes to achieving longer term goals, or goals that have proved difficult to achieve in the past.
Let me explain.
It’s been a while hasn’t it? If you follow me on Instagram you’ll already know I recently took some time out to recharge. Initially my ‘time out’ involved little to no recharging at all, in fact I was all up in my feelings for the most part, and simply put… an emotional wreck! Fortunately for me, being married and not living by myself, means that if there’s ever a time I’m not feeling my best, my Husband steps in and helps me get back on track.
Now for those wondering what caused my mini breakdown, View Post
When I first started to live with my husband it came as quite a surprise to learn that he rarely, if ever, experiences the Monday Blues. To put this into context, we returned home yesterday from a couples weekend away trip, where we spent the weekend playing games and engaging in thought provoking conversations with several other couples. Although it wasn’t a physically demanding weekend, it definitely required a lot of energy, both mentally and emotionally. By the time we returned home, all I wanted to do was to extend the weekend by another day, and catch up on some much needed rest. When I asked my husband how he felt about the start of a new week and going to work on Monday, in true Laolu style he said, ‘I can’t wait, I’m looking forward to it!’
With the exception of returning from vacation, I’ve got to say my husbands enthusiasm for the Monday start has definitely brushed off on me. I’ve learned to look forward to Mondays, and believe it or not I actually love them! Mondays for me are a day of motivation, if I start my week on a strong and positive note, there’s no doubt the rest of my week will be just as amazing.
Here are five essential steps that I take to fight the Monday Blues, and set myself up for a smashing week! View Post
